i was baptized and confirmed last night at holy cross.

besides a few minor mishaps, things went well.  i feel that this has been the wisest decision that i have ever made.

the thesis party was cool.  six cops busted it up, and left drunken-katie looking for fun... to no avail.

right now, i'm cooking a katie-specialty for my friends.  hopefully they will appreciate the increased amount of effort that it requires.

you guys be good.

i've decided at long last that i am a bumbling idiot.  i am more proficient with words on paper than with the words that tend to fly from my mouth as if they had minds of their own.  it's really scary how words can completely escape a person when something wonderful happens, but at times when silence would be the best anecdote, the unmistakable sounds of stupidity roll right off the tongue.

...and they do fly from my mouth.  the words, that is.  i have a terrible time attempting to formulate sentences while in the midst of another living, breathing organism.  well, mostly just people, but you get the point.

tonight, as i stood in front of the biology honor society, telling the members why i wanted admission into their sacred society, i couldn't get my reasons to come out right, and instead, i just appeared to be whiny about another organization in which i take part.

well, that's fine and dandy.  maybe someday i'll get it right.

it has arrived at long last...

after much, much waiting.

it is that time of the year again when louisiana college students take what is affectionately referred to as "spring break."  yes, you texas-schooled people read that correctly.  i know that you guys might have already had a spring break, but i was slaving away at school that particular week... mostly because i also got to take a few days for mardi gras break. ;)  i guess that's fair.

so... now, i have...

1 molecular lab report, 2 ecology papers, 1 calculus quiz to take, and 1 take home statistics test to do... all in a spring break's work.
